Assist. Prof. Pelin Kılıç,
Pharm. PhD


She was born in 1978 in Ankara. After graduating from Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy, she completed her master's degree in pharmacology at the same faculty and her doctorate in forensic toxicology at Ankara University Interdisciplinary Forensic Sciences Institute. She worked as a visiting researcher at INSERM Research Institute in France for 1 year with a scholarship on gene technology.


She worked at the Ministry of Health between 2004-2016, where she contributed significantly to the establishment of the unit that manages advanced therapy medicinal products and the issuance of the first national legislation on this subject. She also served as the Institute Quality Coordinator until the first quarter of 2023, and she continues working as an academician in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine within the Institute. Within the scope of the 1512-Individual Young Entrepreneur (BIGG) Program of Techno-Entrepreneurship Capital Support, with the "Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPS) Diabetes Disease Model" R&D project, which she conducted between 01.11.2020 and 30.04.2022, she founded HücreCELL®️ Biotechnology Development and Commerce, Inc. In addition, Pelin Kılıç continues her studies with the aim of raising qualified scientists with different professional identities that she carries within Ankara University Stem Cell Institute and HücreCELL®️ Biotechnology, Inc.


Begüm Coşar

She was born in 1999 in Ankara. She graduated from Başkent University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics as an honor student in 2022. She worked as a STAR scholarship student between April and December 2020 within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1004 project titled “In-Silico, In-Vitro and In-Vivo Analysis of the Efficacy of Existing Pharmaceutical Active Substances Against COVID-19” within the scope of TÜBİTAK STAR program and completed his compulsory internship at that time, in the body of Ankara University Stem Cell Institute. Within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-B Projects, she received support with the project titled "The Establishment of a Diabetic Disease Model in Drosophila melanogaster and the Investigation and Evaluation of the Change in Expression Caused by Gene Editing with the CRISPR/CAS9 Method".

At the same time, she ranked 3rd in the Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Project Competition organized by the EKİN Pre-Incubation Center with her innovative idea. She participated in the Health Biotechnology-themed Ideathon training organized by Biotek Tekmer as part of the X Team and was awarded the honorable mention with her project idea. She applied to Teknofest 2021 as the Drop-Gene team captain and to Teknofest 2022 Biotechnology Innovation Competition as the EXONISTIC team captain, in the ideas category, and won the right to be a finalist in both terms.

In addition to theoretical training as a laboratory skill, she has sufficient knowledge and expertise in applying basic protocols to many areas such as microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cloning technologies, proteomics, stem cell and regenerative medicine, genetics, process engineering, and has skills in many areas such as good practices (GxPs), innovative idea development, intellectual property rights, project development and execution, publication preparation and publication of scientific data. She is interested in the use of exosomes as therapeutic agents, the use of stem cells in regenerative medicine, and the molecular biology of cancer.

She speaks advanced level of English and beginners level of German. In the future, she plans to work on genetic-based treatment approaches and to study effective treatment approaches on genetic diseases and cancer.

Büşra Nigar Savran

She was born in 1994 in İzmir, and is a 4th year student at the Department of Biology at Middle East Technical University. She participated in many trainings and events throughout her undergraduate education. During the summer internship in our organization within the 2020/2021 academic year, she gained laboratory skills in applying the basic protocols used in various fields such as molecular biology, proteomics, stem cells and regenerative medicine, and enhanced her knowledge in many areas such as innovative idea development, project development, publication preparation and publication of scientific data. She can use R studio and Matlab programs, and speaks advanced English and beginners level of Spanish.
