OUR PROJECT RECEIVED SUPPORT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF 2209-B UNIVERSITY STUDENTS INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH PROJECTS SUPPORT PROGRAM
Under the industry consultancy of our Founder and Chair Dr. Pelin Kılıç and under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Özlem Darcansoy İşeri, our project titled “Creating Diabetic Disease Model in Drosophila melanogaster and Research and Evaluation of the Changes in Gene Expression Caused by Gene Editing with the CRISPR / CAS9 Method”, which will be carried out by Başkent University Molecular Biology and Genetics department student Begüm Coşar, was accepted under the scope of the 2020 Term I 2209-B Undergraduate Research Projects Support Program for Industry. Scientific articles to be published as a result of the project output and the product development processes will bring a new and easily adaptable perspective to gene editing studies, with the help of the originality of the research. We congratulate our advisors and research students and wish them continued success.

WE RANKED IN THIRD PLACE IN THE BIOTECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT COMPETITION ORGANIZED BY BAŞKENT UNIVERSITY EKİN PRE-INCUBATION CENTER
In the 7th Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Project competition organized by Başkent University Ekin Pre-Incubation Center this year, our Founder and Chair Dr. Pelin Kılıç, Gizem Tunçer, occupied as a biologist/researcher in our organization, and Begüm Coşar, studying at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Başkent University, came third with the project idea of "Development of Exosome Diagnostic Kit for Use in the Diagnosis of Breast Cancer". At the award ceremony held in May 2021 with the participation of Başkent University Rector and valuable jury members, we were awarded with ranking in third place and a working area at Ekin Pre-Incubation Center.

2247-C INTERNSHIP RESEARCHER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (STAR) WELCOMED TWO INTERNSHIPS
Within the scope of the 2020 Term II 2247-C Trainee Researcher Scholarship Program (STAR), our establishment welcomed two internships from two different disciplines: Doruk Altıok, who studies at Başkent University Faculty of Dentistry, and Ayşen Ilgın Akbay, who studies at Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy. During the internship, our STAR scholarship students received theoretical training in stem cell and regenerative medicine, disease models, diagnosis and treatment, multidisciplinary biotechnological R&D and process engineering activities. With the multidisciplinary study, extensive knowledge has been gained in the research of genetic or non-genetic diseases with biotechnological approaches and the development of absolute treatment solutions. We would like to thank our students for being with us and for their contributions during this process.

WE ACCEPT OUR FIRST SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
Our organization accepted four intern students from four different universities in three different disciplines for the first time in the 2020-2021 academic year for summer internship. Our accepted students are: Ayşen Ilgın Akbay studying at Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy, Büşra Nigar Savran studying at Middle East Technical University (METU) Biology Department, Merve Yalçın studying at Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy English Program and Nergis Erva Arslan studying at Başkent University Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. In various scientific projects, articles and studies within the scope of stem cell approaches in regenerative and restorative medicine, our intern students contributed to the development of their knowledge and skills within the scope of self-discovery and new ideas in the academic progress of the individual, developing new ideas, constructing experiments and turning scientific studies into commercial products, thanks to the multidisciplinary structure. In addition to these studies, our interns have had the opportunity to take part in social and artistic activities that will ensure the self-development of the individual in many areas. We would like to thank our intern students for being with us this summer term and wish them success in their professional life.

LEGACY ARTS & SCIENCE® STUDENTSOCIETY AS DROP-GENE TEAM AT TEKNOFEST 2021
Thanks to our multidisciplinary structure, we are one step ahead in various scientific projects and studies within the scope of stem cell approaches in regenerative and restorative medicine. Under the supervision of our Founder and Chair Dr. Pelin Kılıç, 6 students in our Legacy Arts & Science® student society, as the Drop-Gene Team, participated in the Teknofest 2021 Biotechnology Innovation Competition from the idea category by applying with a project proposal titled “Creation of a Cellular Therapy Model by Gene Editing on MODY3 Diabetes Model of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs)”. Drop-Gene was entitled to enter the top 28 among 114 teams and made it to the finals. In this way, it made us feel the excitement and pride of being at Teknofest 2021, which was held in Istanbul between September 21-26, 2021.

2247-C INTERN RESEARCHER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (STAR) ACCEPTED INTERNSHIP
Aslı Avşar, who is currently studying at Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy has been awarded a scholarship within the scope of 2021-1. term 2247-C Trainee Researcher Scholarship Program (STAR) at our organization. During the internship, our STAR scholarship student will receive theoretical and practical training in stem cell and regenerative medicine, disease models, diagnosis and treatment, multidisciplinary biotechnological R&D and process engineering activities. At the end of the internship, with the multidisciplinary study, extensive knowledge will be gained in the research of genetic or non-genetic diseases with biotechnological approaches and the development of absolute treatment solutions. Our research student Begüm Coşar made an oral presentation at the 21st International Biotechnology Congress with International Participation, held between 27-28 December 2021, of her bioinformatics-based study tiled “Comparison of Orthologous TCF7L2 and pan Genes in terms of Insulin Signaling Pathway with Bioinformatics Approaches”, related to the TÜBİTAK 2209-B supported project, which she is carrying out under the industry consultancy of our Founder and Chair Dr. Pelin Kılıç and under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Özlem Darcansoy İşeri. This fall, Dr. Pelin Kılıç from Ankara University Stem Cell Institute and HücreCELL® Biotechnology, Inc., and Dr. Keziban Korkmaz Bayram from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University School of Medicine Department of Medical Genetics and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University “Central Research Laboratory” Research and Application Center, along with the invited presence of Prof. Dr. Günhan Gürman, Head of Hematology Department at Ankara University School of Medicine and Director of Ankara University Stem Cell Institute, and Dr. Mustafa Güngörmüş, lecturer at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt School of Engineering and Natural Sciences and Deputy Director of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University “Central Research Laboratory” Research and Application Center, will steer these open science sessions and give research insights to iPSC development strategies. For the TechAnkara Project Market, which will be held for the tenth time this year, our projects titled “Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPS)-Based Diabetes Disease Model” and “Exosome-Based Liver Cancer (HCC) Pre-screening Kit” among a total of 268 innovative projects remained in the top 100 in TechAnkara Project Market. OUR EXONOSTIC TEAM IS IN THE FINALS OF THE BIOTECHNOLOGY INNOVATION COMPETITION AT TEKNOFEST 2022

OUR ORGANIZATION HAS RECRUITED 2 R&D PERSONNEL
Our researcher Begüm Coşar, to whom we provided industrial consultancy within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-B between February 2021 and July 2022, and one of our summer interns in the 2020-2021 academic year, Merve Yalçın, started to work as R&D personnel in our organization.

OUR ORGANIZATION CONTINUES WITH THEORETİCAL TRAININGS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE 2022 SUMMER INTERSHIP PROGRAM
This summer, our organization, including practical and theoretical training under the scope of its cırriculum, continues to make theoretical lessons easier and more enjoyable.
Our model, which is used in theoretical classes to explain the clinical application of cell-based therapies, as well as the "hands-on" studies in general laboratory areas and cell culture laboratory areas, was highly appreciated by the students.

“COMPARISON OF TRYPSIN AND TRYPSIN INHIBITOR CONCENTRATIONS BY SDS-PAGE IN CLINICALLY MANUFACTURED MESENCHYMAL STEM CELL PRODUCTS”, an output of our BAP project which we concluded in the past months, and “THE PATH FROM PBMC TO IPSC: DETERMINING THE EFFECT OF TRANSPOSON CONCENTRATION AND CULTURE CONDITIONS ON TRANSFECTION EFFICIENCY”, an output of our 1512-BİGG project which we also finalized in the past months, have been entitled to be presented as oral presentations at the INTERNATIONAL CAPPADOCIA HEALTH AND LIFE CONGRESS (ICHELIC-2022), which will take place between 24-26 August 2022.

Seminar
With the invitation of Gazi University Biological Monitoring and Research Society (BİTAT), we have held the very informative and comprehensive Scientific Conversation Event on 12 November 2022, on the Zoom platform. As part of the event, Dr. Pelin Kılıç gave her seminar titled "Current Laboratory Applications in Stem Cell and Biomolecule Research". Then, a pleasant conversation was held on career planning with the employees of our organization and the interns, scholars and assistant researchers in our infrastructure. We were very happy to participate in the International Congress of Health Research, hosted by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Health Sciences Institute, on 08-09 December 2022, where we took part in the Organizing Committee with our Chairman, employees and student body, as session chair, moderator and invited speaker, with oral presentations and panel presentations. In the Congress, our panel titled "R&D and P&D Studies in Cooperation between Academy and the Private Sector" was very remarkable.

Scientific articles to be published as a result of the project output and the product development processes will bring a new and easily adaptable perspective to recombinant protein production studies, with the help of the originality of the research. SUCCESS OF OUR TEAM AT FICS 2023
The Contest “Finding Innovative and Creative Solutions for Society (FICS)”, which is traditionally organized every year by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), was held internationally by Gazi University under the title, "Ideas are Competing" on April 13, 2023. A total of 20 teams from leading universities across Turkey participated in the event and presented their innovative ideas to a panel of 12 esteemed jury members and industry experts.
Our Founder and Chair, Assist. Prof. Pelin Kılıç, PhD, our R&D staff Begüm Coşar, our solution partner, Başkent University Molecular Biology Genetics Department Head Prof. Dr. Özlem Darcansoy İşeri, Assist. At the 22nd Biotechnology Congress with International Participation, held by the Biotechnology Association in cooperation with Başkent University on 20-22 October 2023, our Founding CEO, Assist. Prof. Pelin Kılıç, Pharm. PhD made the oral presentation titled “Hsa-mir-144-3p/hsa-mir-30d-5p: Could They be a Biomarker Panel via Common Dmxl2 in Diabetes and Concomitant Neuropathy?” and gave a speech at the Bioentrepreneurship in Biotechnology Panel.
As HücreCELL® Biotechnology, we were pleased and honored to come together to evaluate our country's competencies, inform the public and develop development opportunities by sharing the developments in the field of biotechnology on the 100th anniversary of our Republic.

Our R&D staff Begüm Coşar has made the oral presentation she designed with our founding CEO, Assist. Prof. Pelin Kılıç, Pharm. PhD, titled “PiggyBac (PB) Vector System-Mediated Reprogramming of Cells Designed with OCT4 and Lin28A/B Subgroups: A Discussion on the Expected Pluripotent Properties of the iPSC Yield”, at the 2nd International Paris Congress of Medicine and Health Sciences, which took place between 24-26 October 2023.

Our Founding CEO, Assist. Prof. Pelin Kılıç, Pharm. PhD met with the participants on the Youtube platform with her seminar titled "Learning to Understand Stem Cells", hosted by MOLEKÜLERKÖK on 27 October 2023. Our organization's employees, researchers and interns also spoke during the seminar and provided information about our current projects.

We Organised Our First Project Writing Workshop as HücreCELL® Biotechnology
The "Science and Life Sciences Research Project Writing Workshop" for undergraduate students, which we held online for the first time on 29-30 January 2024, hosted by HücreCELL® Biotechnology, was completed with participants enrolled in 8 different undergraduate programs from 18 different universities. We would like to thank our trainers and peer mentors for their presentations and contributions. We hope to come together again in the next training programs.
