Ayşen Ilgın AKBAY
BüÅŸra Nigar SAVRAN

She was born in 1997 in Adana. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy English program in 2022. She participated in many events and training during her undergraduate education period. (R)evolution of Microbes from Pharmaceutical Point, What is leadership, We Visionary'20, Online Debate of ''Generic drugs should be equivalent to Brand-name drugs'', Homeopathy training, CV preparation and interview training, Aromatherapy training, Magistral Workshop, AMR Youth Summit, Young Forensic Pharmacists Pharmaceutical Project Laboratory and many more were some of such. She won 1st place in the project competition held after the Young Forensic Pharmacists Pharmaceutical Project Laboratory training, with the project she developed with her team. She has been active in Ankara University Pharmaceutical Students Groups for three years and these studies are still continuing. During the summer internship in our organization within the 2020/2021 academic year, in addition to the theoretical education she received, she gained laboratory skills in applying the basic protocols used in various fields such as molecular biology, proteomics, stem cells and regenerative medicine, and enhanced her knowledge in many areas such as good practices (GxPs), innovative idea development, project development, publication preparation and publication of scientific data. She attended Erasmus education at Germany Braunschweig Technical University in the fall semester of 2021/2022 academic year. Additionally, she worked as a trainee pharmacist for approximately 12 months, both mandatory and voluntary. In this process, she improved her bilateral relations with patients, provided health consultancy by informing patients about drug compliance and use, and systematically added many pharmaceutical information to her inventory. She can also speak English at an advanced level and German at an intermediate level. Apart from educational life, she is interested in Latin dances.

Merve YALÇIN
She is a student of Molecular Biology and Genetics at BaÅŸkent University and is doing a double major in the Department of Psychology. She received theoretical training in various fields such as article research, report preparation, review writing, use of Office programs, genetics, biostatistics, biochemistry, microbiology. In addition to theoretical education, she received basic laboratory training. She speaks advanced English and wants to work in the field of cognitive sciences in the future.

In addition to the theoretical and practical courses she has taken, she aims to both reinforce what he has learned and gain new gains by doing summer internship in our organization. She has an intermediate level of English and enjoys taking pictures and doing research in her spare time. In the future, she wants to work in the field of stem cells.

Begüm Su BALTACIOÄžLU
She was born in 2001 in Istanbul. She was an exchange student in Italy with AFS in 2017-2018 and currently is a student at Üsküdar University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She has been fencing for 11 years as a national fencer, and is also a part time fencing coach at Açı Schools. She received her laboratory training both theoretically and practically. Applied Basic Microbiology Laboratory Techniques Training and DNA Isolation Kits Usage and Application Training are among the trainings she has received. Her areas of interest are sports genetics, stem cells, use of stem cells in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. She speaks C1, B2 and A1 levels of English, Italian, and French and Spanish, respectively. She aims to work on regenerative medicine and tissue engineering in the future.
She was born in 1998. She is a graduate of BaÅŸkent University Psychology and continues the Molecular Biology and Genetics double major program at the same university. She has completed her volunteer internship at Ankara Boylam Psychiatric Hospital and has laboratory knowledge and skill experience. She has sufficient knowledge on subjects such as molecular analysis, cell isolation, etc. She knows English well and can use MS Office programs at a sufficient level. She can also use Jamovi well as a statistics application.
Damla GÜMREN
She was born in 1996 in Istanbul and continues her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Biology department. She can use Rstudio and SPSS programs, and speaks advanced English and beginners level of German. She plays an active role as a board member in Hacettepe University Evolutionary Biology and Medicine Community. She was a speaker at the Cambrian Explosion: The Great Revolutionary Student Symposium in the Diversity of Life, organized nationally by the Society, and wrote a review article on Ediacaran Creatures. She continues her social responsibilities as a LÖSEV volunteer. Her interests consist of scouting, biomimicry and psychology. In the future, after having theoretical and practical equipment in the basic and application areas of stem cells, she aims to use her original and independent scientific thoughts and data in scientific research in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
Ezgi Gökçe AYDÖRE
She was born in 2000 in Ankara. She graduated from BaÅŸkent University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in English in 2022. The two years of the undergraduate period were spent with practice in the laboratory continuously. She masters the basic methods found in molecular biology. She has project writing experience and has taken part in projects in different fields during her undergraduate period. One of her projects was supported under the TÜBÄ°TAK-2209 program. Her areas of interest include molecular medicine, tissue engineering, neuroscience, and omics technologies. She speaks advanced English and beginners level of Russian and Italian.

MS Office programlarını kullanabilmekte olup orta seviye Ä°ngilizce bilgisine sahiptir. Akademik hayatı dışında Ä°nekle adlı platformda çevrimiçi biyoloji dersleri vermektedir. TÜBÄ°TAK 2209-B Projeleri kapsamında, “Asidik Fibroblast Büyüme Faktörü’ nün (FGF1) Saccharomyces cerevisiae’ de Rekombinant Ä°fade Edilmesi ve SaflaÅŸtırılması” baÅŸlıklı proje ile destek aldı.

He was born in 2000 in Ankara. He graduated from BaÅŸkent University, English molecular biology and genetics program in 2022. He continues his studies in the fields of tissue engineering and Omics. His studies during his undergraduate period were entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBÄ°TAK 2209-A project. He speaks advanced English.
Hasan Efe MIHCI
She was born in 1999 in Diyarbakir. She completed her high school education at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School. She continues her undergraduate education as an Intern Doctor at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. Hematology and radiology are her fields of clinical research. She served as a member of the board of directors of Ankara University Young Theme Community for two terms. She speaks advanced English and beginners level of Japanese. She aims to be able to conduct clinical research from a cellular perspective.

She continues her undergraduate education at Bartın University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She has knowledge about article research, report preparation and the use of MS Office programs. She received theoretical training in various courses such as biochemistry, biostatistics, immunology, microbiology, gene therapy. In addition to theoretical training, she received laboratory training on Biology, Chemistry and Genetics, and gained knowledge and practice.
Zaide KAYIN
Cansu TÖNGEL
She was born in 2002 in Istanbul and is a 3rd year student at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. She speaks English in B2 level and German in A1 level. She has been playing volleyball in various sports clubs since her childhood. In the future, she wants to work in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and to make new studies on artificial tissue production with the laboratory training.
She was born in 2002 in Ankara. She continues her undergraduate education at BaÅŸkent University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, and is interested in stem cells, gene regulation and epigenetics. She has knowledge on basic techniques such as PCR used in molecular biology, as well as microarray and metagenome analysis. She is proficient in MS Office programs and speaks English B2 level, as well as German and French languages at the beginner level. A member of the "TBD Junior Biologists" team, an organization of the Turkish Biologists Association, she is also a writer for Vita Magazine. She is also in the academic subcommittee of BaÅŸgen, which is the department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of BaÅŸkent University. In her spare time, she enjoys kickboxing.
Kadriye Aleyna AKYÜREK
Nisan Ä°rem ÇETÄ°NGÖK
She was born in 2002 in Istanbul, and graduated from her high school education with first place in 2020. Afterwards, she registered to the Biology Department of Middle East Technical University. Having lived with type 1 diabetes since childhood, it was always her biggest dream to be a scientist working on her disease. Now, as a volunteer intern, she takes steps to improve herself in her field as well as her undergraduate education. She plans to study on the mechanisms of the formation of chronic diseases and the treatment of diabetes in the future. She speaks advanced level of English and beginner level of German. Apart from her education life, she is interested in music.
She continues her education at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Dentistry. She fulfills her duty as TDB Samsun Delegate, and takes an active role in the Young Dentistry Association and speaks intermediate level of English. She discovered her interest in working in the laboratory during high school and started an internship within our organization in order to improve herself in this field.
Zeynep Eslem FALCI

Ahmet CESUR
He was born in 2000 in Çanakkale. He is a 5th grade student in the English program of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ankara University. He was the chairman of the science commission for a term in the Professional Development and Communication Community of the Faculty of Pharmacy. He completed his compulsory internships in community and hospital pharmacy. While continuing his undergraduate education during the COVID-19 pandemic, he voluntarily worked as a trainee pharmacist for 13 months. During this period, he improved his bilateral relations with patients and expanded his knowledge of prepared drugs. During his internship at the hospital, he improved himself in the fields of drug supply to patients in the service and drug stock management. Ahmet speaks an advanced level of English. He shows interest in the field of neurochemistry by making translations in this field. He is momentarily writing his research project at his faculty on “dipeptidyl peptidase-4 enzyme inhibitors,” a class of drugs used in the treatment of diabetes. He attended many congresses and webinars during his undergraduate education. Apart from his education life, Ahmet is interested in video and board games. He is a board member of Ankara University Board Games Society.
Bensu UÇAR
She was born in Ankara in 1999. She is a 3rd year student of Molecular Biology and Genetics at BaÅŸkent University. Bensu still continues her undergraduate education here. She took part in the team of "TBD Junior Biologists", an organization of the Turkish Biologists Association, and wrote for Vita Magazine. She has an intermediate level of English. She participated in many trainings such as "Viruses and Their Use in Gene Therapy", "Forensic Entomology", "Forensic Genetics", "Forensic Biology" organized by the Turkish Biological Sciences Network; “Forensic Toxicology”, “Mammalian Evolution”, “Who Are Insects and What Is Their Place in Our Lives? She was entitled to receive a certificate of achievement due to her success in the exam held by participating in the training on "How Forensic Entomology Contributes to the Resolution of Murders". At the same time, by participating in the "Junior Biologist Online PCR Laboratory Training" of the Turkish Biologists Association, she was successful in the exam and obtained a training certificate. The field she wants to work on in the future is stem cell therapy, cancer and genetic diseases. Bensu is also interested in gene therapy and CRISPR/CAS9 technologies for the treatment of genetic diseases.
She was born in 2001 in Kocaeli. She is a senior student at Gazi University, Department of Biology, Molecular Cell and Genetics Module. Buket uses MS Office programs at a sufficient level and has an intermediate level of English. She is the President of Gazi University Faculty of Science Biological Monitoring and Research Community and the TBD University Representative.

DoÄŸa was born in 2002 in Istanbul. She is a 3rd year student of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul Technical University. She participated in many events and trainings during her undergraduate education. She received basic theoretical and practical training in fields such as physics, chemistry and biology, and has hands-on laboratory experience. DoÄŸa can use Matlab, Python and MS Office programs, and speaks advanced English, beginner level German and Italian. She has been playing volleyball in various sports clubs since her early age, and she is also interested in sports branches such as table tennis, off-road and swimming. She aims to conduct studies on cancer biology, autoimmune and rare diseases in the future.
DoÄŸa ÇARPIÅžANTÜRK
Enes DEVECÄ°
He continues his education at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Pharmacy. He is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF). Enes has worked on nanoparticles and their targeting to pathogenic tissues. He is currently developing himself in nanopharmaceuticals and biotherapeutics. He is fluent in English.
Maryam MOUNAD
She was born in Larache, Morocco in 2000. She is currently a fourth-year Biology student at Middle East Technical university. She did her summer internship in bioinformatics at Bilkent university. She took programming courses in R and Python. Alongside her academic courses, she took several online classes from the platforms Coursera and Edx on Cancer and Bioinformatics. she also participated in several workshops and conferences, such as Bioinforange Conferences and the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research which was held online in 2021. Maryam speaks Arabic, French, English, and Turkish. Aside from biology, she is also interested in photography and astronomy. She aims to constantly improve her theoretical and practical skills as a future researcher.
Öznur SAFGÖL
She was born in 1999 in Bursa. She is a 4th year student at Yıldız Technical University Bioengineering Department. Öznur’s areas of interest are stem cells and cell culture, drug delivery systems, genetic diseases and cancer biology. During her undergraduate education, she did internships in different fields such as prostate cancer, experimental animals (rat) and neuroscience, production and quality control of 18 FDG radiopharmaceuticals, and next generation sequencing techniques in the cancer biology research laboratory. At the same time, she has a project supported by TUBITAK 2209-B called "The Formation of Beta-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complexes for the Development of Antioxidant Activity", which she prepared with a team of two people. She also carries out studies with PCL-PEG-PCL triblock copolymeric nanoparticles within the scope of her undergraduate thesis. Within the scope of the 2022 RaDiChal Challenge, she and her team theoretically studied the genetic therapy approach with the combined use of gene therapy and stem cells for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Her laboratory experiences include cell culture techniques, MTT assay, gel electrophoresis, synthesis of nanoparticle and inclusion complexes, working with protein samples, rat gavage and intraperitoneal injection applications, as well as using devices such as Zeta-sizer, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC. During her undergraduate education, Öznur had experience of writing and editing in Yıldız Technical University student clubs. She is currently a board member and project unit coordinator at the Medical Technologies Club. Her interests include literature and philosophy. During her high school years, she participated in the 2016 National Philosophy Olympics. She speaks advanced English and intermediate level German.
Sena AVAN
Sena is a 5th year student in the English program of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ankara University. She is strong in terms of article analysis and information interpretation. She has sufficient equipment about laboratory studies with his internship in the pharmaceutical industry and laboratory courses she has taken throughout her education life. Sena also has certificates of sign language, Aromatherapy: Clinical Use of Essential Oil and Prescription Drug Regulation, Cost and Access. She participated in the activities of the Red Crescent. She speaks advanced English. She wants to work in the field of regenerative medicine and biotechnology in the future.

Arif Emre Ä°BA
He was born in Bolu in 2000. They are a 4th-year student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Bursa Technical University. He is proficient in using MS Office, Rstudio, and MEGA programs, and has an intermediate level of English proficiency. He is a founding member of the Bursa Technical University Biotechnology and Innovation Community, where he served as the coordinator of the resource team. He achieved 3rd place in the competition named BIOINNOVATION 2022 with the project titled 'Non-invasive Controlled Drug Delivery Systems in Retinopathy Treatment: Transcorneal Passage.' He also participates as a volunteer in social responsibility activities through AHBAP. In the future, he aspires to work in the field of regenerative medicine and biotechnology.
​Beyza YENİMAHALLELİ
She was born in 2001 in Izmir, She is a 4th-year student in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Yıldız Technical University. She has an intermediate level of English and a beginner level of German and Spanish. She strives to participate in conferences, talks, and presentations held at various universities, prioritizing their self-improvement in their field. She has a keen interest in microbiology, genetics, and plant tissue culture. Open to growth and new ideas, she approaches problems analytically, manages moments of crisis effectively, and derives satisfaction from both individual work and teamwork, which motivates her to pursue a career in this field.
Buse ÖZER
She is a 4th-year biomedical engineering student with a minor in chemistry at Bursa Technical University. She was among the founders of Bursa Technical University's Biotechnology and Innovation Society. She established the society's inaugural competition team and participated in the BIOINNOVATION 2022 competition with the project "C-Drug Delivery," where they developed an alternative treatment method for retinopathy, securing the 3rd place. Subsequently, she made changes to her team and formed the HEYSEM Team. She further developed their projects and earned the right to become finalist in the Biotechnology and Innovation Competition at Teknofest 2023. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she has participated in various conferences, received training, and acquired skills in programs and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, R, and MEGA, demonstrating a commitment to self-improvement.

She was born in 2002 in TekirdaÄŸ. She is a 4th-year biotechnology student at Aksaray University. She has completed a voluntary internship at Istanbul Avicenna Hospital, gaining essential laboratory knowledge and experience. She is proficient in using MS Office programs and has a moderate level of proficiency in English and German. As part of the TÜBÄ°TAK 2209-A projects, she has a project titled "Production of Alginate Film from Sodium Alginate Isolated from Brown Algae for Use in Food Coating." She aspires to work in the field of biotechnology in the future.

She was born in 2001 in Izmir. She is currently a 3rd-year student studying Molecular Biology and Genetics at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. She successfully completed the optional English preparatory year of the 2019-2020 academic year with the first rank. During the 2020-2021 academic year, she was a part of the control group of the Molecular Biology and Genetics club (MBG) and actively participated in the organized events. Throughout her education, she has been attending various conferences and training sessions to enhance her knowledge. She possesses intermediate-level skills in MS Office programs and has a moderate level of proficiency in English.

She was born in 2003 in Elazığ. Currently, she is pursuing her undergraduate education in the Molecular Biology and Genetics department at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaşi Veli University. Alongside her practical and theoretical courses, she has undertaken a voluntary summer internship at our organization with the aim of self-improvement. During her spare time, she enjoys photography and is receiving training in the use of social media for commercial purposes. Her future goal is to establish a career in the field of stem cell and tissue biotechnology, particularly within the cosmetic industry.
